ListIt has many features, all of them aimed at making creating shopping lists as quick and painless as possible. Some of them are outlined below.
All items that you add to a list are stored in a central item repositary. The item repositary is always at your fingertips and can be queried by item name or barcode and the items that you would like to add to your list can be dragged and dropped.
If you have a barcode scanner, you can attach barcodes to items that you create. Then next time you need that item, just scan the barcode and the other details will be populated for you.
You can create as many categories as you need on the categories view. These categories can then be assigned to items in your shopping list. ListIt will remember the last category that was assigned to an item so that the next time you add that item, it will have that category.
Ever find that you tend to buy a collection of the same items at the same time. You can add these items to a recurring list and then whenever you are ready to buy these items you can add the recurring list to your main list. And if you don't need all items in a recurring list, you can easily remove them from your current list without affecting the underlying recurring list.
